R. Stuart (Tookie) Angus: Director, Chairman
R. Stuart (Tookie) Angus is presently an independent business advisor to
the mining industry. Previously he was Managing Director, Mergers
& Acquisitions for Endeavour Financial and was responsible
for merger and acquisition mandates. Prior to joining Endeavour Financial, he was a partner at the Canadian law firm Fasken
Martineau DuMoulin and headed that firm's Global Mining Group. For over
25 years, Tookie has focused on significant international exploration,
development and mining ventures, and all aspects of their structuring
and finance. Tookie is currently a director of Bema Gold Corporation and
until recently, Canico
Resource Corp. Before he resigned
in 1997 on completion of a successful takeover, he was Chairman of the Board of BC Sugar Refinery Limited.

John A. Clarke: Director, Vice-Chairman
Mr. Clarke was appointed Vice-Chairman in August 2008 after having
served as Chief Executive Officer of Nevsun Resources since September 1997. Prior to joining Nevsun, Mr. Clarke was an
Executive Director of Ashanti Goldfields Company Limited of Ghana. He
joined Ashanti in 1982 and contributed to establishing Ashanti's gold
exploration program throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Mr. Clarke holds a
B.Sc. in metallurgy from University College Cardiff, a Ph.D. in
metallurgy from Cambridge University and an MBA from Middlesex
Polytechnic.

Cliff T. Davis: Director, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Davis was appointed Chief Executive Officer in August 2008 after
having served as Executive VP and Chief Financial Officer since 2002 and
CFO from 1994 to 2000. During the period from 2000 - 2002 he was
the Chairman and CEO of a public chemical manufacturing company.
Mr. Davis is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of
Corporate Directors. Prior to joining Nevsun in 1994, he was an audit partner
in the international accounting firm, KPMG where he provided services
predominantly to public companies in the resource, industrial and
financial sectors. Mr. Davis has had experience as a director of a
number of other Canadian public companies in the industrial and mining
industries. He currently sits on the board of one other junior resource
company.

Robert J. Gayton: Director
Bob Gayton is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years' consulting experience in accounting and finance, most recently
as V.P. Finance for Western Silver Corporation (TSX:WTC, AMEX:WTZ) and as a Director and Audit Committee Chairman
for other publicly trading companies. Prior to this Dr. Gayton was an audit partner with Peat, Marwick Mitchell Chartered
Accountants and a member of the Faculty of Commerce at the University of British Columbia. He is also a Fellow of the
Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCA) in both Ontario and BC and holds a Ph.D. in Business from the University of
California. Dr. Gayton joined us in November, 2003 as a director and Chairman of the Audit Committee

Gary E. German: Director
Gary German is a professional engineer with over thirty five years of
senior management experience in the building of companies, projects,
operating teams, and financing of global resource developments. He
was most recently Managing Director (Resources), Kingsdale Capital Corp
and previously the Senior Advisor to the President-CEO of Ma'aden, the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's mineral resource development corporation,
funded with US $1 billion. In the mid 1990’s, as Chief Operating Officer
and Director of TVX Gold Inc (TSE), he was responsible for worldwide
operations. These positions followed twenty-eight years in the Noranda
Group, culminating as Senior Vice President. Fluent in Portuguese and
Spanish, Mr. German's Noranda international responsibilities included
major projects in Chile, industrial & mine developments in Brazil and
executive strategic activities in some 20 countries. He is Chairman or
Director of a number of international mining and development companies,
public on the TSX or AMEX, and other not for profit organizations. |

Gerard E. Munera: Director
Mr. Munera, a US citizen, is Managing Partner of Synergex Group LLC and
serves on the Boards of Dynamic Materials Company, Meridian Gold, Mag
Industries and Zaruma Gold . A graduate of the French premier Ecole
Polytechnique and of Ecole des Ponts et Chaussees in Paris, Mr. Munera
has a diverse background which includes engineering, economics, sales,
finance, operations, mining and metals. His tenures, most of which were
at the Management, CEO, Executive VP and/or Chairman level, include
Pechiney (20 years), Union Miniere, Rio Tinto and Minorco, an affiliate
of Anglo American. Based for many years in various countries of Europe,
Africa and South America, he is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
Mr. Munera has been awarded the French Legion of Honor (officer) and the
Algerian war medal. |
